Summer Transition School

Students are expected to be part of a learning community, based on respect for each other, their families, the environment and the academy. This is done through a range of active programmes to improve links with the community and to promote parental and community involvement as a way of raising aspirations and achievements for the area. 

Duke’s Aldridge Academy provides a wide range of courses, activities and support for parents, children and the wider community, which promote community cohesion and support for families.

The Summer Transition programme gives a taste of the KS3 curriculum taught by our highly acclaimed staff from English, Maths and Science,  as well as opportunities to participate in a range of workshops including the creative arts and practical sessions such as cooking!  Sessions will also be delivered for parents by Senior Leaders to ensure that we can work in partnership to engage your child and create success.

The Summer school will give the students an exciting opportunity to help smooth the path of transition from primary to secondary.
